15 Greatest Hair Metal Albums

13. Stay Hungry (1984) - Twisted Sister

twisted-sister-stay-hungry-370027 Twisted Sister hit it big in 1984 with their third album Stay Hungry. Yeah, it has the hits We're Not Gonna Take It and I Wanna Rock. But the rest of the album is just as good as those songs, if not better. The title track, Burn In Hell, the epic Horror-teria and power ballad The Price are all great fist-pumping songs. Go ahead, try not to pump your fist when I Wanna Rock comes on the radio. Even if you think the song is cheesy, it's hard to resist. Dee Snider and co. hit the perfect balance with Stay Hungry, proving they could do straight in-your-face hard rock and still be hooky and catchy enough to be successful in the mainstream. The band tried commercializing their sound even more on later albums, but they never quite caught on like they did with this one. The band even recently re-recorded this album in it's entirety to mixed reviews. But regardless, we'll still have the original that we can pop in any time. Especially when we're remembering our fathers yelling at us and asking "What do you wanna do with your life?!" You better know the answer to that!

What KC Mobley lacks in height, he makes up for in sheer passion. Especially when it comes to films and 80's heavy metal. Don't be afraid, he doesn't bite...much.
