15 Greatest Hair Metal Albums

12. Slippery When Wet (1986) - Bon Jovi

220px-Bon_jovi_slippery_when_wet Bon Jovi is one of the few bands from the hair metal heyday who continue to be commercially successful today. And their 1986 monster hit Slippery When Wet was the album that set that off. After the mediocre success of their first two albums, the band hired songwriter Desmond Child to help them out with lyrics for the new album. And the rest is history. The album features the bands biggest hits, including Livin' On A Prayer, You Give Love A Bad Name and Wanted Dead Or Alive. The rest of the album is great too. And Ritchie Sambora is definitely an underrated shredder. Listen to his guitar solos on Let It Rock and Raise Your Hands. Amazing.

What KC Mobley lacks in height, he makes up for in sheer passion. Especially when it comes to films and 80's heavy metal. Don't be afraid, he doesn't bite...much.
