9. Shout At The Devil (1983) - Motley Crue
No list of greatest hair metal albums would be complete without an entry from Motley Crue. But the hardest part about writing this entry was choosing between Shout At The Devil and Dr Feelgood, two of the group's best albums. But ultimately I chose Shout At The Devil because it was their heaviest, while still being catchy as hell. I mean, come on, can you think of another metal band that can do a cover of The Beatles' Helter Skelter justice while simultaneously making it an awesome sounding hard rock song? Speaking of The Beatles, the album cover for Shout At The Devil is a tribute to Let It Be. The album is jam-packed with great tracks, including the anthemic title track, Looks That Kill, the aforementioned cover of Helter Skelter, Too Young To Fall In Love...Hell, all of the tracks on this album are awesome! And no, the band isn't Satanic. Don't let the title fool you.
