15 Incredible New Hip-Hop Stars You Must Hear

7. Rae Sremmurd

Hip-hop doesn't always have to be dark, brooding or insular. Instead, it can be the most poppy, party-inspiring club music around. Rae Sremmurd are the ultimate testament to that. Their 2015 album Sremmlife, boosted by features from Young Thug, Nicki Minaj and Big Sean, is the most fun release on this list. Its tracks can be heard in practically every night club and every festival set in the world right now. This duo is about to take music by storm. It started with their awesome single, No Type. Its addictive hook - "I ain't got no type/Bad b*tches is the only thing that I like/You ain't got no life/Cups with the ice and we do this every night" is inescapably catchy (in a good way) and its trap beats and hefty low end make it perfect for underground clubs and huge raves alike. Other hits have followed, each of which is testament to the ability of these Atlanta brothers to make party anthems with absolute ease. Sremmlife 2 is due by the end of the year. If it's anywhere near as good as their debut, they'll have had arguably the most impressive 12 months in hip-hop's recent history. There is no question that you'll be dancing to their rhythms in every club for years to come.
