9. Defeater I Don't Mind
http://youtu.be/dPq0EF72dEQ There's no two ways about this, Defeater are a hardcore band, and a brilliant one at that. However hardcore they are though, they do have a softer side. This softer side became particularly prominent in the four acoustic tracks that closed their album Empty Days & Sleepless Nights technically representing the sleepless nights of the title. Known for lyrics with some pretty heavy subject matters, but through I Don't Mind's lyrics, vocalist Derek Archambault shares a short story that is simple and some might say a little corny, but his vocals put those thoughts to bed as it becomes abundantly clear how heartfelt these words are to him, as he sings to a lover and essentially proposes as he confesses 'I'm all yours, if you're all mine.' 8. Paul Gilbert I Am Satan
http://youtu.be/-KGS3Njt5TI A love song through and through, but this love is a little complicated. You see, our narrator is in fact Satan himself, and he is head over heels in love with a woman named Judy, but he's scared. I know, Lucifer, scared? Crazy. Well, the thing is, Judy doesn't know that her love is in fact the devil himself, and he's oh so scared to tell her, reasonably so I'd say. I mean, everyone has their secrets they're afraid that one person that means everything to them might find out and it might mean they'll lose them forever; actually being Satan is probably pretty high on the deal breaker type secrets. However, after Judy's initial fear and leaving of Lucifer, it all works out in the end, because comes back to him. Being able to overlook that your boyfriend is the prince of darkness? Well, if that's not love, I don't know what is.
