15 Most Distinctive Singing Voices In Rock & Metal

5. Till Lindemann

Rammstein have taken the metal world by force in recent years. Their brutal guitar crunching, keyboard wizardry and spectacularly over-the-top stage shows have proven to cross any and all language barriers and cement them in Anglo-American culture as one of the 21st century's all-time greats.

Frontman Till Lindemann is, it's fair to say, as well-known for his imposing and theatrical stage persona as he is for his deep bass singing voice. Despite mostly singing in his native language of German, anyone who's heard even a snippet of the man's guttural drawl will be able to pick up on it again in a heartbeat.

Even when singing in English, it's Lindemann's low and throaty booming that set him miles apart from the typical high-pitched range of rock and metal vocalists. You certainly wouldn't want to run into him in a dark alley...but one thing that's for sure is you'll definitely recognise him by his voice before you see him.
