1. The Byrds - The Notorious Byrd Brothers (28:28)
Just when it seemed like The Byrds couldn't possibly get any better following the release of the almost perfect Younger Than Yesterday, they somehow managed to squeeze every remaining ounce of brilliance onto this dutifully short follow-up. Proving that a Byrds' Greatest Hits album is redundant, every track on The Notorious Byrd Brothers is a fantastic pop song. Their sonic experimentation wasn't as profound as some have claimed it to be, but that doesn't mean their work on this album isn't unique, particularly when held up against the rest of their discography. It's a small slice of beautiful psychedelic pop that deserves to be played on an endless loop. A Little Taste: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDlupaHDWyM
