15 Most Underrated Bands Of The 90s

7. Toadies

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKbk7BPXBa4 Despite only having released one album in the 90s (1994's Rubberneck), the Toadies will always be a band planted firmly in that decade. Because they'll always be known as the "Possum Kingdom" guys. It should be noted, however, that they've since released five excellent albums, including one as recently as 2015. Unfortunately, they suffered the fate of The Flys ("Got You Where I Want You") and Cracker ("Low") and Butthole Surfers ("Pepper") and all the other legions of mildly grunge-flavored bands that popped up over the mid-to-late 90s. It didn't matter that they sounded more like The Pixies than Nirvana (who themselves often tried to sound like The Pixies) and it didn't matter that their debut album was chockfull of wonderfully weird, rollicking, punk-infused barnburners. They were doomed to a legacy of just one song.
