15 Most Underrated Hard Rock Bands Of All Time

As the brash sounds of the 70's started to fade, hard rock fans were looking for something a bit more forceful than the punk rock scene. Armed with leather jackets, Marshall amps, and a lot of fury, bands from like Iron Maiden rose to the forefront to signal the New Wave of British Heavy Metal.

While Diamond Head may not have been the almighty band they originally intended, their mark has certainly been felt by the metal community. Songwriter Brian Tatler wrote riffs that were so to-the-point that you could just turn on your stereo and spend the entire record banging your head.
