15. Over A Decade Of Saying "Pwoper" Instead Of "Proper"
It all started with the documented fishing trip on the Hullaballo DVD, the band casting their lines out somewhere in rural Europe between shows. After some problems getting their worms on the hook and lot of standing around hitting each other with the rods, Matt eventually pipes up in excitement. "Look! Look, I caught a pwoper fish, Dom!". There's a fine line between a speech impediment and an iconic turn of phrase, but Muse fans the world over adopted "pwoper" on the spot and it's stuck ever since. That doesn't stop the uninitiated from asking why you're talking like that though.
