15 Most Pulse-Pounding Motörhead Tracks

2. Ace Of Spades

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZOwAX91t1w This song needs no introduction, "Ace of Spades" is Motörhead's anthem, their calling card and the one song that set them on the first track to mainstream acceptance, albeit short lived acceptance. The de facto Motörhead track of choice for greatest rock album compilations may be overplayed and over-familiar nowadays, but it is still a rip-roaring ride and undeniably one of Motörhead's greatest achievements. "Ace of Spades" was a massive hit on release in 1980 where it spent 12 weeks in the UK charts, peaking at number 15. This was no mean feat for a song that succeeded without sacrificing any of its hard-edged attitude and spirit. Lemmy produces possibly his finest bass intro which hits the ears like a sledgehammer and the song miraculously builds in intensity from there, the band never relinquishing their formidable chokehold around your throat until the final note is struck. A stone cold classic and one that influenced every significant band that emerged from the fallout of its release. "Ace of Spades" is Motörhead's defining moment, but is it their most pulse-pounding song? Almost, but there remains one song that packs an even heftier punch...

I love Heavy Metal, and generally anything that involves a guitar and loud noises, so I figured it was about time I put all the useless information in my head to good use and start writing a few things. Most of the time I'll be writing nonsense but occasionally I may surprise myself and appear half-way knowledgable.....but you can be the judge of that. Thanks for your fleeting attention!
