15 Ridiculous Cover Versions That Are Better Than The Original

13. Michelle Simonal Performs With Or Without You

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wq0vquxGPzA One of the most popular rock bands to come out of the 80s is undoubtedly U2. With their outstanding guitar playing by The Edge, vocals by Bono and lyrics that could touch the soul, they are still loved as much, if not more today. Their album, The Joshua Tree, is considered one of their greatest works, with songs like "Where The Streets Have No Name," "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For," and "With Or Without You." You've probably heard that last song a million times, either because you own a copy of it, or because it's had tremendous radio airplay over the years, but this will most likely be the first time you've heard it like this. Michelle Simonal performs a jazz cover of this rock classic and is it ever good. When you hear the phrase jazz cover, it almost sounds like it couldn't possibly work, but surprisingly, it really does. The piano accompanied by Ms Simonal's sultry voice makes this sound like a version to be heard in a smoky piano bar from the 1940s and that just makes it that much more enjoyable.
