2. ...But Don't Expect Modest Mouse To Cover Other People's Songs
To this day have only released two cover songs, one of which is of Buddy Holly's "That'll Be the Day" and the other being Slayer's "South of Heaven." Not much of a common thread there. In fitting with their one-of-a-kind status, the gang in Modest Mouse apparently doesn't see the point in rewriting someone else's work. Instead, they'd rather spend that time writing something original. And isn't that how it should be?
