This is something, actually, that EVERYONE - not just Stone Sour fans - should understand. For too long, Corey has been associated with the screaming, growling vocals that made his name on the first couple of Slipknot albums. The fact is, his voice is at its best when he's singing more melodically... And, when he is, he is without a doubt the most stunningly voiced frontman in metal today. Just check out the soaring choruses of Hesitate, Inhale and Sillyworld, or the delicate voice he employs in Bother and Through Glass. This is a guy with serious pipes, as well as a real grip of emotionality in his voice. He KNOWS how to tug on your heart-strings. Corey never really gets the credit he deserves, despite being up there with the greatest in rock's history. Perhaps one day he will, but for now it seems he'll only be truly appreciated by his fans. Maybe that's the way he prefers it anyway.
