15 Things Only Stone Sour Fans Will Understand

2. They're Improving With Age

Jim, who was recently kicked out of the band for unclear reasons, has had a go at his former bandmates. He claims that the band is driving itself into the ground, and won't last much longer. His exact words?
Some of the guys in Stone Sour, I think they just want to be a radio band and write strictly for radio and try to be more of a poppy rock band. And that's not really what I'm into. There's at least one guy in the band that's only concerned about money.
Ouch... That's pretty bitter from Jim, who has been with the band for many years (and remains in Slipknot with Corey!). However, we all know that the band remains strong. Even those that miss Jim's presence have to admit that the group has grown with every release. While their debut was exciting, each release since has arguably improved on it. In fact, the two parts of House Of Gold & Bones showcase probably their most accomplished and intricate work to date. The idea of the band making a double concept album - and making it well - seemed inconceivable years ago. But they have matured so much that they have succeeded immaculately. Let's just hope that Christian, Jim's replacement, is up to the task of continuing their impressive streak when the band's next full-length release arrives...
