20 Best Album Covers Of 2021

2. We're All Alone In This Together - Dave

London rapper Dave had one of the best album covers, one of the best album titles, and one of the best overall albums of the year. His 2019 debut Psychodrama won the Brit Award for British Album of The Year and he’s a strong contender for this year’s edition. Just so you know, he is 23.

Tyler Remikie’s variation on Monet’s famous “Impression, Sunrise”, aside from being a beautiful piece of contemporary impressionism, constitutes a superb setting for the album’s frame narrative. This project is Dave going back in time, exploring the heritage and history of his family, his culture. As such, the two people in the boat, as he said himself, are either him and his mom, as she guides him through that heritage, or him and his listeners, as he shares with us what he learned on that journey.

Vinyl-worthy artwork ? Nah, this is art gallery-worthy.
