20 Greatest Electronic Music Albums Of All Time

9. The Future Sound Of London - ISDN

Along with acts like Orbital and Leftfield. The Future Sound Of London (usually abbreviated to FSOL) have been credited with pioneering the use of technology in music production since the early 90s. FSOL's diversity of styles is far more notable than most of their peers, and their output has produced some of the best in ambient, techno and acid of the era. ISDN was something of a first when it comes to concept albums, being edited together from a number of live broadcasts the group had made using the anachronistic ISDN connection. Track title Far-Out Son Of Lung And The Ramblings Of A Madman hints at the anarchic vibe throughout ISDN - this is FSOL at their most punky and abrasive.
