20 Greatest Electronic Music Albums Of All Time

2. Boards Of Canada - Music Has The Right To Children

It's impossible to talk about Warp Records and their huge influence on quality electronic music without mentioning Boards Of Canada - the fact that the Scottish production duo have earned such an impressive reputation without the need for marketing, tours or interviews speaks volumes to the high standard of their music. Music Has The Right To Children, their debut album released in 1998, is one of the most accomplished albums ever made, irrespective of genre labeling (and, like Autechre, Boards Of Canada's music resides in a realm of musical possibilities which defies easy definition). Like Autechre, Boards make music which feels like it belongs to a different time and place - space music for the tripped out generation par excellence.
