Another Warp Records luminary whose more recent audio experiments were met with less enthusiasm than those of his label mates Autechre is Squarepusher, the bass guitarist-turned-electronic music producer who almost single-handedly took a hold of breakcore and jungle and tore up the rulebook. Moving away from the live instrumentation found in Music Is Rotten One Note and Hard Normal Daddy, Squarepusher's Go Plastic marked a high point in Tom Jenkinson's career, with opening track My Red Hot Car introducing fans to his rapid fire breakbeats and digitally twisted basslines rumbling across the channels. Go! Spastic is one of the most relentlessly bonkers, wildly erratic tunes you'll ever hear.
