20 Greatest Electronic Music Albums Of All Time

16. Radiohead - Kid A

The opening synthesizers and clipped, distorted vocals which kick off the first track on Kid A, Everything In Its Right Place, tells you all you need to know about Radiohead's shift in direction towards a sound heavily influenced by electronic music. Thom Yorke has a reputation as one of the most inventive composers and producers working today - not to mention being an all-round good chap who is happy to give his music away for free. With Kid A the inspiration of electronica artists such as Autechre and Aphex Twin is clear - more abstract than OK Computer, the band explore away from the conventions of rock and enter bold new territory in the process.
