20 Greatest Punk Albums Ever Made
11. Descendents - Milo Goes To College
Some punk bands manage to remain consistently present through the years despite not always receiving amazing commercial success. Descendents are not one of these bands, as they have disbanded or declared hiatus no less than four times throughout their careers.
In their first run as a band they formed in 1977 and stayed together until 1984. It was during this seven year period of high activity for both the band and the genre that Descendents released their crowning, career defining achievement; 'Milo Goes to College'.
As the band's first full length record, 'Milo Goes to College' was released in 1982 and blew the punk rock scene away with its tenacity and pure velocity. Taking just one month to record and running for only 22 minutes, this album is the sheer embodiment of punk rock conviction. Including songs such as 'Suburban Home', 'Kabuki Girl' and 'I'm Not a Loser', it's easy to see why this is still such a highly respected record.
