20 Greatest Punk Albums Ever Made

10. Stiff Little Fingers - Inflammable Material

Picking up the presence of the Irish bands after The Undertones earlier appearance, Stiff Little Fingers make the top 10 punk albums of all time thanks to their stunning record, 'Inflammable Material'.

As far as political punk records go, the narrative and setting for 'Inflammable Material' makes it one of the boldest punk records of all time. Released in 1979 by an Northern Irish band at the peak of The Troubles between Ireland and Great Britain, it's easy to see why the record was called 'Inflammable Material'.

As if the setting for the record wasn't risky enough, the songs addressed issues that other bands, celebrities and even politicians were shying away from. Songs like 'Alternative Ulster', 'Suspect Device' and 'Barbed Wire Love' all painted vivid images in the minds of its listeners about the war torn nation. Despite their immense impact on the scene, Stiff Little Fingers disbanded in 1982 after just five years together, before regrouping in 1987.
