Like Buckley, David Bowie's voice was all about performance, but rather than the vocal acrobatics of the former, the former Ziggy Stardust impressively inhabited characters in song.

He was a puppet master, backed up by incredible technical ability whose impressive range and impossible tone makes imitation entirely redundant.
