https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liNnCKPeEv0 Ah, Billy Bragg. Is there anything more powerful than one man and his guitar? Bragg is a left-wing political activist who, though not blessed with the world's greatest singing voice, really knows how to write. In fact, it seems that Bragg sings almost exclusively about politics and the state of society, somewhat similar to the more recent Frank Turner. Sexuality is an upbeat, spirited track that openly accepts and embraces homosexuality. Even as recently as 1991 when the track was released this was a brave and honest move, but then again, Billy has never been one to shy away from subjects which need addressing. The warm-hearted lyrics of the song claim that 'Just because you're gay, I won't turn you away', and 'If you stick around, I'm sure we'll find some common ground.' Bragg goes on to demand equality in the song, something he deserves recognition for considering the track's release date. He is a true musical activist.
