20 Jay-Z Songs You’ve Never Heard

4. Big L Feat. Grand Daddy I.U., Jay-Z, Lord Finesse, Microphone Nut, and Party Arty - Da Graveyard

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eEzzN08Moc Another track that true hip-hop heads should be familiar with but the average Hov fan may not be. Da Graveyard is a posse cut off of Big L's 1995's debut album Lifestylez ov da Poor & Dangerous. Now, it cannot be stated enough that Harlem MC Big L is one of the greatest (and terribly underrated) rappers to ever do it. And songs such as this proves that point. Jay is no slouch either, with lines like: "Creep through your block f*ck a Glock I step. Through your neighborhood armed with nothing but a rep. I'm giving these ladies something they can feel cause I'm real. Ya man get outta line and it's kill kill kill."

3. Jay-Z - What's In A Name

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tw7hBNXLe_s Like many of the Jay demos that have turned up, it's made it to the Internet and CD mixtapes only after multiple dubs on cassette tape. In other words, the audio if pretty rough. However, if you're able to listen to the actual lyrics you won't be disappointed. What's In A Name is absolutely filled to the brim with rhymes designed to go over your head the first time you hear them. Though sometimes Hov will flat-out explain what it is that he's talking about. €œCause I kill at will like solid water, dude. You n***** don't get it€” kill at will, solid water... Ice Cube." Old-school Jigga at his finest.
