14. J Church - One Mississippi
Fan's of the veteran rock group J Church spent a long 4 years waiting in between the band's 1996 album and the 2000 one. Their patience was rewarded with what was essentially two full length albums. One Mississippi contained 26 different tracks which was truly a statement about the band's work ethic even during their down time.
The album is an unprecedented blend of late 90s pop punk mixed with unique blend of surf rock. It manages to fall into a genre which was exploding at the time of recording while also being different enough to not get lost in it. Laid back vibes with clever little one liners riddle the record which is has enough tracks for any punk rock band to find the right one for them.
Frontman Lance Hahn has since passed leaving behind this album and a number of others as his legacy.
