The late great Amy Winehouse was one of the most talented British female singers of the 21st century. Known for her distinctive appearance and soulful vocals, the artist achieved several accolades for herself.

Most notably, her number one selling album Back to Black was the highlight of her career. Featuring the songs Rehab and Tears Dry On Their Own, Back to Black has been praised for its variety of music styles and rich themes of guilt and heartbreak in relationships.

Furthermore, Amy was nominated for several Brit Awards and won five Grammys.

Whilst many of her songs were popular, none of them actually reached the top of the charts, unlike her albums. The one that came closest was Valerie, which reached number two and was the ninth best-selling single of 2007.

If it hasn't been proven already, this just shows that losing out on a top selling record is not really a big deal.
