13. Their Only Number 1 Was For A Movie

Aerosmith has been producing music for over four decades and has had numerous charting hits in the process. Yet, surprisingly, only one of these has ever made number one on America's Billboard 100.

In 1998, Aerosmith made "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" for the Michael Bay-directed film Armageddon. While the movie itself was less than stellar, the song was clearly popular enough to debut top of the charts. And to think, their one number one was never officially an album track; in fact, no member of the band is credited as a songwriter.

It took 25 years for Aerosmith to reach the zenith of the Billboard; maybe 2023 will be the year they repeat their achievement from 22 years ago?

I'm perfectly sane, or so the voices tell me. British, sarcastic, president of the European Slinky Association, have a tendency to lie when listing things about myself. 100% guilty of being a massive geek obsessed with Doctor Who, Harry Potter and video games. If you can't find me on the internet, I'm probably locked in a room playing Spyro the Dragon on my old PlayStation, or blowing everything to smithereens with a concrete donkey on Worms: Armageddon.
