20 Things You Didn't Know About BTS

7. What's In A Name

RM had quite a career on the Korean underground scene before BTS, where he was known as Runch Randa, The Nexist, Stealo, and Largo. He finally settled on Rap Monster as his stage name with the group after a song he wrote in 2012, but that would soon be abbreviated. "It could symbolise many things." he said of his two-letter moniker in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

But the leader of the band is not the only one to have picked up multiple stage names. Suga was also around the underground rap scene for a while, and he was known as Gloss there.

Meanwhile, Jungkook's stage name was supposed to be Seagull, and Jimin was given the choice between Baby G, Baby J, and the rather imaginative and descriptive Young Kid before settling on his own name.

Rap Monster still lives on in a four-legged form, as his dog has been named Rapmon.

After hearing that you are what you eat, Mik took a good hard look at his diet and realised he might just be a szechuan spare rib alongside prawn fried rice.
