20 Unsigned Metal Bands Everyone Needs To Hear
5. The Raven Age
Hot off supporting two metal icons in Iron Maiden and Mastodon during the course of 2016 (and set to support Anthrax in the UK in 2017), The Raven Age is already making a massive splash before their first album has even hit shelves.
With one single and one EP to their name (as well as a debut full-length tentatively set to drop next year), this hot English quintet is one of those beautifully rare metal bands that outright refuses to use harsh vocals, with the delivery of singer Michael Burrough always melodic and always engaging.
Behind him, dual shredders George Harris and Dan Wright lay down metalcore-esque and consistently harmonic riffs, combining with Burrough's delivery to send the melody into overdrive!
If you enjoy the clean stylings of metal's golden oldies but want to know what would happen if they got a 21st century update, The Raven Age is doubtlessly the best place to look.
