21 Best Punk Albums Of The 21st Century

6. Rise Against - Siren Song Of The Counter Culture

There is a debate among punk fans at present in regards to who the face of modern punk rock is. British fans would argue that the likes of Frank Carter and IDLES are contenders, while American fans would claim the likes of Green Day and the ever-present Rancid are valid shouts. However, Rise Against are without question one of punk's flagship acts right now; a fact that is undeniable whether you're a fan or not.

Forming on the cusp of a new millennium in 1999, Chicago's Rise Against now have nine studio albums and a global following to their name. The early-mid 2000's were a boom period for American punk, and the third of these nine Rise Against albums, 'Siren Song of the Counter Culture', was a huge contributing factor towards this.

Including trend-setting tunes such as 'Give It All', 'Paper Wings', 'Anywhere But Here' and 'Swing Life Away', this astonishing record is still hailed as a timeless modern punk classic to this day.
