21 Best Punk Albums Of The 21st Century
15. Bad Religion - True North
Carrying the honour of being the longest running band to feature on this list, Bad Religion were formed back in 1980 and have gradually evolved into the matured punk pioneers they are today. Although only three original members remain in the line-up today (with vocalist Greg Graffin being the only consistent member), the message, meaning and motivations of the band have never changed.
With a staggering list of classic punk albums such as 'Suffer', 'Against the Grain', 'Stranger Than Fiction' and 'Recipe For Hate' already under their belts heading into the 21st century, the bar was incredibly high for any records which had to follow. Amazingly the band's sixteenth studio album, 'True North', proved itself to be amongst their best. Appearing in 2013, this somewhat overlooked modern punk record epitomises everything that made Bad Religion the revered punk legends they are today.
The most notable tracks to feature on this rip-roaring record include 'Robin Hood in Reverse', 'Dept. of False Hope' and the title-track.
