21 Best Punk Albums Of The 21st Century
14. Turnstile - Time & Space
Several arguments exist in regards to what punk actually is. Some say it's the sound of the music, some say it's the attitude while others argue that defining punk immediately makes it not punk, as definitions come with conventions and rules. Regardless of where the punk bracket lies, Turnstile are certainly within it.
Forming in 2010, the Baltimore based group are one of the newest acts to appear on this list, but their youth evidently comes with experience before their time. Turnstile released their debut studio album, 'Nonstop Feeling', in 2015 but struggled to make a large scale impact on the rock scene. It wasn't until 2018's 'Time & Space' that business started to pick up for them.
'Space & Time' was the band's major label debut having signed with Roadrunner in 2017, and they ran with the opportunity gifted to them. The album was a smash hit success across the world, charting in the UK, Germany and reached #1 in the Billboard Heatseekers chart. Key songs include 'Real Thing', 'Can't Get Away' and 'High Pressure'.
