18. Deftones - White Pony (2000)
Notable Tracks: Passenger, Change (In the House of Flies), Knife Prty As we inch closer to my every-day music preferences, this particular album will likely follow me throughout the rest of my life. Released shortly after the turn of the century and millennium, White Pony infused the sounds from both of their freshman and sophomore efforts and effectively created an authentic, heavy, and often entrancing sound to fulfill any rock-lover's voracious appetite. Some audiophiles might argue that Chino Moreno is trying too hard to be different, but there is no denying that his efforts are, in the very least, effective. As I've stated before, I embrace talented lyricism, and if you do, too, then here's an album for you to excavate. Should you choose to accept this mission, you may justifiably kick yourself for not listening to this album over a decade ago. Also, I should add (for those of you enjoy a good puzzle), a hint to my number one selection for this list is hidden in this paragraph.
