25 Best Thom Yorke Songs

21. Street Spirit (Fade Out)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IrTB-iiecqk Artist: RadioheadAlbum: 'The Bends'Year: 1995 Quite a lot of Radiohead's work focusses on despair, fear and sadness, but it's fair to say 'Street Spirit' may be the gloomiest of the lot. That's not to say it's unlistenable: it's mesmerising in its twinkling arpeggio of guitar and rush of strings. It might be so dark because of the harmonic minor key, the constant return to the A minor or the stray G# notes of Thom's eerie melody, but however it looks written down, in practice it's the perfect end to 'The Bends', and still a fans favourite eighteen years on.
