25 Greatest Hip-Hop Albums Of The Last Decade

24. 2 Chainz - Pretty Girls Like Trap Too

When it comes to creating great albums, 2 Chainz might not be the first rapper that you think of. While he's had some fantastic singles over the years and everyone loves his show on Viceland, Most Expensivest, he's never come across as the type of artist who prioritised critical acclaim. That's why when he released Pretty Girls Like Trap Music, it was such a pleasant surprise.

If you can appreciate his penchant for witty punchlines, fun flow and his ear for great-sounding beats that specifically fit his albums, then this is the best version of the College Park raised rapper that we've ever seen. Pretty Girls Like Trap Music is filled with all the things that make us love 2 Chainz. From braggadocious bars that emphasise his lavish lifestyle to some of the most creative drug metaphors you'll ever hear outside of Pusha T, this is the 42-year old at his very best.

However, the thing that works the best on this album is his brilliant ability to collaborate with artists such as Gucci Mane, Travis Scott and Drake, and share the spotlight equally with them. Despite being full of features, songs like "Good Drank," "4AM" and "It's A Vibe" all feel very much like 2 Chainz songs and have pushed themselves to the top of his already impressive catalogue. So while many of his peers have fallen to the wayside, 2 Chainz is only getting better with time.
