30 Grime Albums You Must Hear Before You Die

25. Slew Dem - Non Stop Working

Grime's rap battles are legendary, and many of them are documented on YouTube (particularly the channel Lord Of The Mics). Slew Dem's DVD Non Stop Working pulls together a lot of similar handheld footage, including performances, freestyles, battles, skits and interviews, in probably the best example to date of grime's DIY video aspect. It helps that the roster on show here is seriously impressive. Key figures like Jammer, Tempa, Tinchy Stryder and D Double E all feature, as do gifted MCs like Chronik and Rage. It's easy to get lost in the vast quantities of grime footage available online, especially given that the genre was one of the first to really take advantage of online DIY visuals. Non Stop Working offers a useful way into this world, while simultaneously providing a wealth of awesome moments from some of the scene's best.
