3. Splashh
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUNArMF_vDI With songs such as Feels Like You and All I Wanna Do, who needs to be nostalgic about the nineties when you can listen to Splashh? The East London quartet restore your faith trippy, kaleidoscopic grunge and have already received critical acclaim from The Guardian and NME. Their sound infuses jangly guitars, grainy reverb and rough vocals that scream of a fuzzy shoe-gaze revival louder than plaid shirts in H&M. You may have seen the band at an array of festivals this summer including Benicassim and Reading and Leeds and this looks like its only the beginning for the group. Their first studio album, entitled Comfort, was released this year via Luv Luv Records, featuring stand-out tracks So Young and Vacation. As predicted, theyre the sort of band where you have to delve under the skin of their clattery live gigs to really get a feel for their tantalising, rip-roaring melodies.
