His impressive music pedigree boasts studying at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) where his talent was so evident he was hand-picked to have a one-to-one session with LIPA founder Sir Paul McCartney. Dan is a well-executed musician who creates folk stirred with sophisto-pop which creates an utterly absorbing listen. He describes his €˜sound€™ as a mix of his acoustic upbringing balanced with his new-found love of digital electronic music. Having already had airplay on Radio 1 and BBC 6 Music, he€™s already toured Europe this year and includes Paul Simon, Beirut and Metronomy in his list of influences. Check out the video for the rather lovely €˜Compliment Your Soul€™ track which sees Dan strumming his guitar with the chorus resonating around the huge hall filled with stuffed wild animals such as a Grizzly Bear and an Ostrich€”I€™m still trying to figure out the meaning behind the video but it accompanies the most sincerest of songs.
