Heres To Never Growing Up couldve worked as a song, if the video werent so questionable. Never growing up (in some ways) is not a bad message, but when that message appears to be crash a schools prom, steal the prom crown, and then trash the place theres possibly some more in-depth emotional issues at play here. Avril and some randoms spray paint on the walls and throw a shopping trolley into a pool, because staying forever young means not considering the poor underpaid schmuck who will have to fish it out in the morning. The video to Heres To Never Growing Up plays a bit like if Carrie hadnt been able to burn everyone to death with her mind. To take her revenge she comes back to her old school once she hits 30, and with the power of faux-rock and/or roll convinces all the kids to vandalise their classrooms at their senior prom. Not terribly effective, and a little bit sad.
