3. James Ramey (August 17, 1944 October 28, 1970)
James Ramey, better known on the music scene as Baby Huey was the lead singer of Baby Huey & The Babysitters who released only a single album in 1971, after Rameys death. Ramey had a powerful and soulful voice to back up his large frame. The song the band are perhaps best known for, Hard Times, has become an influential track in the hip hop world, being sampled in atracks by Ice Cube, Ghostface Killah and A Tribe Called Quest. The song was also featured in the opening credits for the 2008 film JCVD. Ramey died of a heart attack at the age of 26. He certainly had the voice to be the next big thing in soul music.
