2. Noel Gallagher (Oasis)
There was never any doubt when Noel Gallagher finally got round to composing a solo album after the ugly Oasis break up in 2009 that it was going to be great - he was the brains behind one of the biggest bands of the 90s. Which is why "Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds" did way better than his brother's band "Beady Eye" in record sales. Noel's album went straight to number 1 and was arguably the best guitar album of the year in 2011. The album is very Oasis - this is probably because a lot of the songs were originally written with the plan to be used in the band. Even without the rest of Oasis Noel makes every song in the album sound great and we should all cross our fingers that there is more solo records to be created by the older Gallagher brother.
