5 Most Influential Grunge Band Frontmen

2. Eddie Vedder

Frontman of Pearl Jam, Eddie Vedder's dynamic vocal melodies made Pearl Jam stand out in a sea of raspy-vocals in the early 1990s. Eddie Vedder is one of the few lasting musicians of the early 1990s Grunge Sound who is still creating music.

After the release of Pearl Jam’s Ten in 1990, Pearl Jam established themselves as one of the biggest Grunge bands along with Nirvana, Alice in Chain and Soundgarden.

Although not originally from Washington, Vedder was the only other Grunge vocalist who was a close second to Kurt Cobain as the face of Grunge. Today, he remains the only frontman left from the Big 5 Grunge bands.
