26. Gorillaz - Demon Days

While the self-titled debut album of Damon Albarn's virtual-brainchild, Gorillaz, was unquestionably well-received, it didn't explore new waters in the manner many hoped it would. Fortunately, it was merely a predecessor to the band's most successful and beloved LP to date - Demon Days. The album is sprawlingly varied, broadly drawing from synth-pop, hip hop, rock and dance to create a unique selection of tracks which work equally well as stand-alone snippets, or part of a narrative whole.
