20. Strange Man
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmPPONFRla4 Album: I'm With You Sessions (2012-3) The final song on the list not released on an album, Strange Man was the first song of the first release of the I'm With You Sessions, and it seems the best was given up first. Although subtly incorporating the piano present in much of I'm With You, Strange Man delivers the funk that was mostly missing from the album, with the strong drum beat and twisty guitar riff stealing the listener's attention away from Kiedis' vocals during the chorus. 19. Apache Rose Peacock
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OC3_40b4Dw Album: Blood Sugar Sex Magik (1991) Although seeming to make sense in reading, the meaning of Apache Rose Peacock as a whole makes just as much sense as the name does out of context, with the lyrics pre-cursing the seeming-nonsense present in the final minute of Stadium Arcadium's Death Of A Martian. Apache Rose Peacock joins songs such as Mellowship Slinky In B Major to maintain the band's funk styling on Blood Sugar Sex Magik, and is the song that would most have fit in on early releases such as Freaky Styley. 18. Storm In A Teacup
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzOCPjXBYlM Album: Stadium Arcadium (2006) Storm In A Teacup is one of the most instantly-catchy songs from the Chilis' recent albums, with the song's structure truly delivering everything it can as the song builds from the beginning to a brilliantly energetic chorus, before giving the build again before the second verse and once more preceding the final chorus, taking the listener and dangling them over the edge of the chorus for just long enough before letting go again. Kiedis has said that he isn't a fan of singing this song live as it harks back to his earlier rap-style rather than singing, which has also led to changes in how he performs older songs such as Give It Away. 17. Ethiopia
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WPa6HUQ79A Album: I'm With You (2011) Another great demonstration of the Chilis' habit to launch with Flea's bass, Ethiopia tells the story of a day in which Flea got lost there, having been left behind by his bus. After an hour of no one knowing English and faced with the prospect of being lost for a long time, Flea finally found someone who spoke limited English to help. This experience, part-way through a trip intended to inspire music based on Africa and its traditions, Ethiopia remains a "very special" song to the bassist, as well as including influences of love and meditation from Kiedis. 16. I Could Die For You
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IiXLavFXfcs Album: By The Way (2002) I Could Die For You might be the most easily understandable song the Chilis have ever released, written about Kiedis' girlfriend at the time (possibly Yohanna Logan, who he met during the early stages of writing Californication), with the whole meaning summed up in the song's title. Although many others infer meanings of love and lust (such as the chorus of Factory Of Faith), I Could Die For You is one of the very few out-and-out love songs recorded by the band, in the company of If and Hard To Concentrate (which started out as a wedding proposal written for Flea).
