6 Musicians Who Hate You For Listening To Their Music
2. Liam Gallagher
There may not be another musician on the planet who showed more contempt for his fans at the height of his superstardom than Liam Gallagher. Always the saltier half of the Gallagher brothers, Liam was a big fan of getting hammered before going on stage and then calling the thousands of devotees who showed up to any given concert "f*cking idiots." Sometimes he would stop singing and lie down on the stage to "rest" if the crowd was singing along too loudly. He was like a less reliable Axl Rose. But the main source of contention between Liam and his fans is the song that launched his band into the stratosphere, "Wonderwall." He hates it. He hates it more than Radiohead hates "Creep." That might owe more to the fact that his brother, Noel, wrote the song and Liam would love nothing more than to kick his brother right in the balls most days. He often said he wanted to gag every time he had to slog through "Wonderwall" at concerts. Once Oasis broke up, Liam vowed to never sing it again. He was especially displeased with it being his major point of recognition in the States. "You go to America and they're like: 'Are you Mr Wonderwall?' You want to chin someone."
