Enter Shikari are one of the UK’s most unique and exciting acts, blending metalcore with electronic rock, their unique sound is often copied but never equalled.

It is this outlandish musical style that has won them favour with mainstream audiences over the years, and this popularity could propel them into a Download headline slot in the coming years.

The band has found their way onto the line-up on several occasions, with the first of these appearances being on the second stage in 2007. Since then the band’s stock has risen to strange new heights, and in 2015 they reached their highest line-up position to date, headlining the second stage on the festival’s closing day.

Beginning to tour larger venues and occasionally arenas, the band’s touring stock is also rising to new levels, and shows no sign of decreasing, with their last three tours sporting great ticket sales and attendance figures.

As if this wasn’t enough, the band’s albums are fantastic sellers, with critics praising the work for the ambitious musical style and positive political messages, and if Shikari continue to amount this level of positive press, it won’t be long before the mothership invades a headline slot at Britain’s largest rock festival.
