In the mid-to-late 2000’s Bring Me The Horizon built a reputation for being the hardest working band on the British metal scene, if there was a gig available, Oli Sykes and co would be on hand to perform, regardless of how far away said show may have been.

By doing this the band built a reputation and a teenage cult following which led to multiple hit albums and sell-out tours, this gained the group a main stage appearance at the 2011 Download Festival.

In the years following, the act went on to alter their musical style to a more electronic and mainstream sound, broadening their appeal and adding to their already sizeable fan-base. This paved the way for their Download return in 2013, gaining them a place on the main stage in the “special guest” slots during the second day of the festival.

Since then the band has gained even more mainstream exposure, with a couple of hit albums, a few sell-out arena tours, and a high position on the line-up of Reading & Leeds Festival to add to their already reputable list of accomplishments.

With this level of popularity, Bring Me The Horizon are almost the perfect candidates for a Download headline slot, and they look set to prove this in the coming years.
