7 Amazing Songs The Biggest Bands Never Play

Often a band's best work is tucked away on-album rather than the lead singles everyone else wants to hear.

You know how it is. You're 15 years old, you buy Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge by My Chemical Romance for £8.00 in HMV and it becomes one of your favourite albums of all time, making itself a crucial part of your formative years. You miss the tour that promotes the album because of GCSE's (thanks mum), and you end up waiting until Leeds Festival 2011 before you see them live. By then they only play two songs of that album, because it's 8 years old and (some) people have moved on. It's more often than not the case with all-conquering musical juggernauts, simply because they've matured as people and musicians, and they want to play the stuff they've just written. But sometimes you end up losing an incredible album track, or debut single, for the sake of a newer album track that sucks. Unless you wait for the Greatest Hits tour (come on MCR...) and then you may hear an old tune or two. These are songs that the monoliths of today tend not to play too often, because times have changed, unfortunately. Feel free to point out any times you've seen these songs performed live in the last three years, I'd be interested to hear, and gutted to know I missed out.
