7 Bizarre Conspiracy Theories About David Bowie

5. His Death Was Inextricably Linked With Alan Rickman's

Of all the theories on this list, this is easily the most callous. For some reason there's something about celebrity death that makes society want to try and uncover the €œtruth€ behind it all, even when the truth is nothing more than the sad reality of mortality. When actor Alan Rickman died, many were quick to point out that he was also aged sixty-nine, and also passed due to cancer. This connection has been latched onto by conspiracy theorists who says it's no coincidence that Bowie's final song was titled Lazarus, and that Rickman played Dr. Lazarus in the 1999 film Galaxy Quest. On top of that, Bowie was supposedly mentioned on an episode of The Simpsons the evening he died, and shortly afterwards a Simpsons clip surfaced which featured both Bowie and Rickman in the same gag. If anything this theory shows how difficult it is for humans to cope with death and how we search for patterns in a desperate attempt to make sense of everything.
